All individuals have the right to be treated fairly and being mindful of equality and diversity will ensure that all individuals feel valued and respected. This is particularly important in a health and social care situation. You will learn about the laws and regulations, and all your duties as a care worker or an employer.

This is particularly important for adults in need who, because of a disability, illness or their age, are unable to take care of themselves so you have to ensure they are treated fairly.

Module 4: Discrimination

  • Definition of Discrimination
  • Types of Discrimination

Module 5: Reasonable adjustments

  • Reasonable Adjustments
  • Discrimination due to failure to make reasonable adjustments
  • Positive Action
